“MDO 3” is our program for three-year-olds

Our holistic approach to learning focuses on physical, cognitive,
social and emotional development with weekly themes
designed to nurture the body, mind and heart.

Curriculum is uniquely designed around the
early learning and development standards
developed by the Connecticut Office of
Early Childhood Education.

Opportunities for family involvement are created
through our annual art show, guest readers,
quarterly newsletters and more!

A sense of the larger community is
fostered through visits from local professionals.
(i.e. Fire Department, Police,
Dental Hygienist, Veterinarian etc.)

Acts of compassion and caring are emphasized.

Children attend one and/or two days a week from 9:30 am to 2 pm.

Our class size remains small and well below state requirements.

We understand that children develop in their own time and in their own way,
therefore they do not need to be potty-trained to attend MDO 3.

Support is provided to parents and children to encourage healthy eating habits.
Parents provide a boxed lunch.

Exploration of the arts each week with a planned Art Project each day.

Imaginative Play activities include:
Water table, Rice table, Toys,
Building blocks,
Felt board, Dress up,
Kitchen play, and more.

Our large indoor hall & outdoor play yard
provides a place for organized games,
sports, ride-on vehicles, parachutes,
nature walks and more.

Our Learning Circle provides an opportunity to learn
seasonal and traditional songs, dramatic play,
reading, counting, concepts of time,
weather and daily affirmations.
